The Glens of Antrim is an area widely known for its rich history and heritage. Our farm overlooks the site of a famous battle between two great Irish clans in the 16th Century. The new historical feature at Sheans tells the story of the Irish clans and one of the great Irish Chieftains, Sorley Boy McDonnell, who controlled North East Ulster in the 16th Century.
You can also take the opportunity to listen to the great myths and legends of these mystical lands at Sheans from the greatest story tellers the Glens has to offer.
We have developed a wide range of different packages to cater for all requirements.
These include:
family days out, youth groups, Educational programmes, CRED programmes, activity days,McDonnell trail tours, group days out, Turf cutting, Cross community workshops and myths and legends programmes.
